Conor Brown

Founder & Managing Director

Conor has been working in the search industry since 2012. He spent more than seven years working for an executive search firm where he led their Front Office finance team. He has an extensive network built up over years of helping some of the most sophisticated trading firms, market makers and hedge funds build their teams.

Conor has helped companies hire across North America, Europe, and APAC. Through his work he has had the opportunity to spend time in all these locations deepening his relationships with candidates and clients alike, and really understanding the culture and nuances of the firms he represents and works with.

Mandates have ranged from Head of Trading and senior Portfolio Manager/CIO level down to quantitative researchers embarking on their first role out of academia.

Conor founded Bowden Brown to continue helping connect the best and brightest with some of the most innovative and successful firms in the industry and using this platform to ensure that companies are equipped to face the many, and ever evolving challenges inherent in growing.

The aim is to be the first name a company thinks of when they need to make a business-critical hire, and to be a trusted partner that our clients can rely on.

Arthur Phillips

Head of Technology Recruitment

Arthur has more than 17 years’ experience in technical recruitment and first ventured into the quant trading space in 2008.

He spent several years leading technical recruitment teams for buy-side search firms before moving into internal Talent Acquisition roles in 2015. After consulting roles with Qualcomm & Microsoft he moved to Amazon to lead Engineering recruitment for Prime Video Europe. He subsequently set up and led Talent Acquisition functions for two tech start-ups before making the return Quant Trading recruitment in early 2024.

Arthur has an extensive network within tech and finance, cultivated over many years working with the world’s top trading and technology firms. He is passionate about building and developing recruitment teams to deliver against high profile technical mandates.

Alfie Fuller

Consultant – Trading & Research 

Alfie joined Bowden Brown in 2022 following his graduation from the University of Manchester. He works on the Quantitative Trading and Research side of the business and has played a key role in building our coverage in that market, sourcing extremely capable candidates across different experience levels and managing them through the recruitment process from first approach to successful client onboarding. 

Alfie has worked extremely hard to build his market knowledge and expertise in an industry where there is a lot to learn. 

He has consistently received excellent candidate feedback from those that have partnered with him on their search, with people recognising the insights he has been able to offer and the strong relationships he has formed. 

Ayshe Gunsaya

Consultant – Technology

Ayshe graduated from Loughborough University with a first class degree in History. She joined Bowden Brown to expand our coverage on technology mandates, helping to identify outstanding candidates for our clients globally. Ayshe has a keen interest in the intersection of technology and finance and spends time dedicating herself to keep up to date with the latest industry trends and developments.

Ayshe has demonstrated a great ability to grasp new concepts quickly and to build relationships with her candidates, effectively coaching them through interview processes and has already been instrumental in helping our clients to make some fantastic hires in a very competitive market.
